Watch out, watch out, there are scammers about…

Scammers find ways to get people to part with their money and provide nothing in return. So it is not surprising that they are now targeting investors.

It is now common place for scammers to clone websites, Instagram accounts, set up bogus FB accounts etc. so extra vigilance is required, especially when investing your hard earned money.

These unscrupulous people will go to great lengths to give the impression of being the real deal and in many case they will actually clone legitimate businesses, giving the appearance of a professional and valid company that you would happily invest with.

Although it can be difficult to tell if a company has been cloned, there will be slight differences in the website address, email addresses, telephone numbers etc. so if in doubt, check the information on Companies House to verify the details of the company. Contact the organisation to confirm that you are indeed doing business with them and take this opportunity to ensure that not only is the company registered with Companies House but that it is fully compliant.
